Adjusting for inflation, average weekly wages are now at their highest since 2011. Wages, excluding bonuses, rose by 3.3% in the three months to October, their fastest rise since November 2018 according to official statistics released by the Office for National Statistics.
It is estimated there were 102,530 property transactions in October, the highest monthly total since July 2017 and up 1.3% on a year ago. Sales volumes breached the 100,000 barrier in September for the first time since November 2017 according to data released by the HMRC.
